About
Life is down right difficult, plain and simple. One of the most courageous things you can do is take responsibility for your life, and face the pain that comes with it. My ideal client is someone that is feeling lost and overwhelmed with life. Someone who is ready, but unsure how to face these difficulties. This can include relationship difficulties, family conflict, grief and loss, trauma, depression, anxiety etc. True healing occurs when you allow yourself to experience and express your emotions. Being a therapist is an absolute privilege and I love being able to help people live authentically. I would be honored to help you. I have been working with individuals, couples, and families for 12 years. I help families and couples address communication issues, conflict, and other dynamics that hinder growth. I help individuals that struggle with anxiety, depression, low self esteem, loss, and abusive relationships. I work with kids, teens, and adults, and use Existentialism, EMDR etc. I believe in having a balance of warmth and a willingness to challenge you. My overall goal is to help you live an authentic life. I help you take a look at the choices you're making and how they might be keeping you stuck. I help you find a sense of meaning and purpose in life. Again, life is difficult and we all need someone to talk to. Doing so takes guts Specialties: With couples, families and individuals, I have an interactive and warm style of counseling. With that being said, I will challenge and encourage you to improve your life and your relationships. I believe in the importance of helping you become whole and to help you live authentically. I will help you take a look at how you keep yourself stuck, and help you explore what could help you find meaning. Credentials & Experience: I have training in family counseling and couples counseling. I am a Level I "Gottman Method" trained therapist. When it comes to working with individuals, I have training in EMDR, CBT, and DBT, however, I'm primarily an Existential Therapist.
"When it comes to working with individuals my foundations has always been Existentialism, however, I do bring in CBT, DBT, and other similar modalities. I am also trained in EMDR. When it comes to working with couples, I am a Level I Gottman Trained Therapist, although I also use Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy as well. With families I primarily use Structural Family Therapy."
