About

As your therapist, I am here to listen and help you process what is going on in your life and help you figure out what your options are. I will be there for you to work on your goals with you at your own pace. I believe that every one of my clients is capable of growth and it is my job to facilitate this process of building greater awareness toward becoming the person we were meant to be. I help you evaluate your unique situation so you have a better understanding of how you relate to others and give you better insight into who you are. I have a broad life experience that helps me relate to a diverse clientele. I am a licensed professional counselor and psychotherapist with 20+ years of professional experience in the areas of higher education, mental health, and wellness. I have experience working with individuals of diverse backgrounds in healing and wellness. I also have experience as an adjunct professor and have lived abroad in Austria, Germany, and England. Clinical Interests: Mindfulness and Meditation; Stress reduction, Solution Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT); Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT); Motivational Interviewing; Trauma Informed Care. Specialties: Depression, Anxiety, Self-Esteem, Behavioral Issues, ADHD, Loss/Grief, Schizophrenia, Relationship Issues, Anger Management, and Coping Skills. Specialties: I typically work with people who are experiencing depression and/or anxiety. I do a thorough evaluation of your circumstances on what is causing you suffering, then help you explore your options. It is up to you to make the right decision for you and for me to give you support while you make the necessary changes in your life. Credentials & Experience: I have over 20 years experience in the counseling field. I have spent some time abroad. I have been a financial advisor/life planner and have worked in the educational system as a adjunct professor and day treatment counselor. I am looking for people who are serious to improving their lives.

"I have found that listening to you is the most important thing, so I practice Rogerian techniques and motivational interviewing. I also find that people who experience a lot of anxiety and depression need to look at what is going on in their mind, so I will help apply cognitive behavioral therapy to your thoughts. Lastly, I encourage lots of self care, meditation, and journaling."
