About
You’re exhausted, but your mind won’t shut off. I provide telehealth CBT-I for professionals with chronic insomnia, helping calm an overactive nervous system through evidence-based treatment and optional self-hypnosis skills to support downregulation and sleep. If you’ve tried sleep hygiene, apps, supplements, or forcing yourself to relax (with little success), you’re not alone — and you’re not broken. Insomnia isn’t a willpower problem. It’s a learning problem — and it is treatable. My work is grounded in CBT for Insomnia (CBT-I), the gold-standard, first-line treatment recommended by the American Academy of Sleep Medicine. CBT-I targets the patterns that perpetuate insomnia like conditioned arousal and a nervous system stuck in "high alert." I also offer optional instruction in self-hypnosis to learn physiological downregulation. Patients often describe me as calm, thoughtful, and precise. I value warmth and attunement while respecting your intelligence and your time. Therapy is goal-oriented, practical, and individualized — not open-ended or vague. If your sleep problem feels stubborn, frustrating, and unlike everything else you’re managing successfully, I’d be glad to help. Specialties: I specialize in chronic insomnia driven by anxiety, stress, or a constantly 'on' nervous system—especially in people who are tired but wired and have already tried everything. Credentials & Experience: I am licensed in Wisconsin, New York, and all PSYPACT participating states.
"For some patients, brief hypnotic or imagery-based techniques can help reduce nighttime hyperarousal or anticipatory anxiety about sleep. These are optional, trauma-informed, and used only when they support the goals of CBT-I—not as a replacement for it. Focus is on teaching self-hypnosis skills to downregulate nervous system over-reactivity."
