What does a depressed tortilla say? "I don’t wanna taco ’bout it." I like to use a mixture of compassion, humor, and directness. I talk to people in a "real" way (not just cheesy "therapist" talk). I want you to feel truly seen and to share in some laughter, but I also want you to feel enough trust with me to be challenged out of your comfort zone a little - to try seeing or doing things in a different way so you can get closer to your goals/healing. I love helping people get past the things holding them back. I'm passionate about trauma, anxiety, and depression treatment. I consider myself to be an open-minded person and see my clinical role as helping people achieve THEIR goals/healing within their own cultures and belief systems (not mine). I just want to see people become more satisfied with themselves and their lives. In addition to regular sessions, I also offer therapy intensives (a lot of hours in a short time). Thanks for checking out my page! Don't hesitate to reach out for a free consultation. Research shows that the absolute most important thing for therapy to be successful is a good fit/relationship between the therapist and the client. You definitely deserve to find the best fit for you. And maybe that's me :) Specialties: I have experience working with a wide range of concerns. I'm very passionate about trauma and anxiety treatment. Trauma comes in many forms and doesn't always look like war, accident, or assault. It can also come in subtler forms that change how we form relationships and interact with the world - like emotional neglect, psychological abuse, attachment issues, bullying, medical, etc. Credentials & Experience: I've been a practicing psychologist for 14 years in WV. My private practice is called Mindful Mountain Psychological. In addition to regular/traditional sessions I offer therapy intensives, which is a way for some clients to deep dive and condense months of therapy into days or weeks.
"I use an eclectic approach, applying different models/methods based on what seems like the best fit for each particular client and particular situation. My favorite and most impactful tools are techniques from CBT, ART, EMDR, and IFS."
