·LICSWAbout
Having been a therapist for 20+ years, I bring a lot of expertise and experience to the table. I help people with anxiety, depression, difficult life transitions, attachment wounds, trauma, and OCD. These people want to learn to prevent and cope with symptoms that interrupt daily life, relationships, socializing, work, education, and more. I use cognitive behavioral and psychodynamic therapies. My goal is to help folks increase awareness of their internal world, notice limiting patterns and beliefs, learn to reframe thoughts in a believable way, relate differently to others, and practice acceptance and empathy for self and others. In addition, for folks dealing with trauma and attachment wounds, I am trained in EMDR. EMDR is a unique therapy that can quickly desensitize a traumatic memory, and reprocess negative core beliefs developed from trauma and attachment wounds. Plus, for folks with OCD, I am trained in Exposure and Response Prevention (EXRP) therapy. It is important for you to be seen, heard, and accepted, and for you to gain the personal growth you want. I am proud and humbled to say, I can create that space for you. If I seem like a match for you, please reach out. I offer at 15 min, no charge, phone call. Specialties: I work with folks who are struggling with depression, anxiety, and life transitions. In our sessions, I will teach you how to think critically about your automatic responses to life, thinking patterns, and how your life experiences having created the adult you are today. We will work together to create new patterns of responding and thinking, and redefine you in a manner that better suits you.
