About
I am a believer in the power of therapy for everyone. We all need a safe place to vent, feel validated in our experiences and be able to process the difficult parts of life. Humor and hope are two key elements of my work with clients. I have been working as a counselor for over 8 years and have found that through humor, collaboration and understanding- we can make incredible leaps towards healing and becoming our best selves. I look forward to guiding you along this journey. I began my work with clients with substance use concerns, implementing a harm reduction approach. I have since focused on working with adolescents and adults with depression, anxiety & life adjustments to reduce symptoms, find purpose and healing. I implement evidence-based treatments such as CBT, relational therapy and motivational interviewing approaches. I look forward to meeting with you and beginning to work together to support your goals and provide space to process life's small and large hurdles, as well as being able to celebrate the wins. Specialties: I have worked with a variety of clients over the past 8 years, including those struggling with anxiety, depression and substance use concerns. I also have worked adolescents and children providing treatment for adjustment concerns and trauma. Currently I specialize in supporting clients with anxiety, addiction and life adjustments. Credentials & Experience: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate, with my full Licensure for Counseling to be certified through the WA DOH soon.
"I implement a variety of approaches to best meet your individual needs and treatment goals. I have been trained in CBT, Relational, MI and TF-CBT by the University of Washington, received my Substance Use Certificate to address addiction concerns and interned at Seattle Children's Hospital in the ADHD center to work with children, teens and their families for parent supports and ADHD assessment."
