About
Facing a serious medical diagnosis like cancer can feel overwhelming. Our trauma informed counseling supports individuals, loved ones, and professional caregivers with flexible, evidence-based care-in person or virtually. From the moment of diagnosis and through every stage of the cancer journey, you don’t have to face it alone. You will work closely with your therapist to identify personalized and achievable goals, authentic and sustainable coping strategies, and supportive care. We acknowledge that facing a medical trauma can be overwhelming and cause feelings of fear, uncertainty, and loss of control. We invite you to take a a step towards empowerment and choice by reaching out. You have already taken the first step by seeking out support. Specialties: We work with individuals who may be struggling with symptoms related to a cancer diagnosis. We will provide support, validation, and empathy as you begin to identify potential support systems and coping strategies so that you do not face this alone.
"I approach treatment from a holistic and trauma informed lens. This means that, as you navigate your journey, we will work together to identify strengths, needs, and potential support systems. In your first session, we will explore current emotions, thoughts, and experiences that are impacting your well-being. We will then work together to identify ways to cope and grow from your experience."
