About
How often do you find yourself struggling with emotional challenges on your own, thinking that no one will understand and that it’s just a burden you must carry? I am here to tell you that you are not alone and asking for help is not a weakness. It takes a lot of courage to reach out for help, to trust another person, and to talk about what you’ve been through. You deserve support and you deserve to have a space just for you where you can be your authentic self without judgment. I am here for you. I’m a bilingual/bicultural (Hablo Español) therapist with decades of experience working in the fields of Domestic Violence, Sexual Assault and Human Trafficking, as well as issues around immigration/reunification. I specialize in client-centered and strength-based trauma work, as well as loss/grief, eating disorders, anxiety and depression. My goal is to work with you to identify what issues you want to focus on & together identify goals and potential solutions to achieve them. I’m trained in several treatment methods and customize an effective treatment plan for each individual. I am open to a free 15 minute phone consultation to discuss if we will be a good fit in a therapeutic relationship. Specialties: I have extensive experience in working with those who have suffered from sexual abuse/assault and trauma, either as children or adults, as well as parents and loved ones. With over 30 years of experience specifically in this field/subject matter, I ensure a safe space, move at the person's level of comfort and together plan a way to healing. Credentials & Experience: As a Crisis Counselor and Therapist, I have over 15 years experience working with trauma survivors of Sexual Assault/Abuse and Domestic Violence
"My work is grounded in trauma-informed, strength-based, and person-centered care, ensuring that each individual's experiences and needs are respected. I acknowledge culture, environment, and family dynamics shape unique perspectives. I am trained in multiple modalities, including TF-CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and EMDR, which allows me to tailor treatment to each client."
