Thank you for reaching out especially during this uncertain time! I am taking telehealth & office appts Mon-Fri. I have over 15 years of experience working with individuals & couples using evidence-based therapies. My journey and passion derive from my personal journey of therapy throughout the years and as a result has deepened my commitment to helping individuals who feel discouraged, anxious, and overwhelmed by their circumstances. My specific treatment focus areas are relationship conflicts, anxiety, trauma, depression, grief and loss. I aim to educate, encourage and empower to increase inner peace, resilience, and hope. I provide a safe, accepting space where you can gain insight, self-reflect, practice skills, and heal. I believe the therapeutic relationship and learning the needed skills is the core of the counseling process and when the healing begins. I use an eclectic approach of evidence-based interventions like, cognitive behavioral, trauma focused, interpersonal, dialectical behavioral and psychodynamic incorporated with optional holistic practices (exercise/nutrition/spiritual). I accept you where you are and hope to work together so we can create individualized goals that work for you. My clients often leave sessions feeling more hopeful, encouraged and motivated. I look forward to hearing from you! Credentials & Experience: I have over 15 years of experience helping individuals in different crisis related situations such as trauma and grief/loss within marital and familial relationships. I am licensed in Virginia and offer telehealth services and hold an additional certification in trauma-informed therapy.
