Chelsea Corbin
Licensed Professional Counselor Associate
·MS, LPC-AAbout
Evening and weekend availability. $75 per session. My mission is to provide therapeutic support to children, teenagers and adults that are needing help overcoming a struggle in their life. This can range from a 5 yr old child who is struggling with her parents’ recent divorce, a 14 yr old needing coping skills as he tries to overcome a bullying situation, an 18 year old in his first semester in college struggling with anxiety, a 21 yr old battling ADHD that interferes with her career goals or a 30 year old wanting to improve his relationships (and much more!) With a background in foster care agency work, I bring extensive experience working with people of all ages and backgrounds. I enjoy working with people who are feeling stuck and helping them unravel the web of their life and story so that they can move forward with their lives in a positive direction. No one should have to struggle alone. I have a knack for connecting with children of all ages and entering into THEIR world. I speak both “teen” and “parent” which helps us break down barriers to communication. My office is down the street from the TCU campus and I love working with college students. Gen Z and millenial clients are also a specialty of mine. Specialties: I specialize in helping kids, teens, and young adults with a wide range of issues including (but not limited to) ADHD, anxiety, anger, depression, suicidal thoughts, self harm, bullying, and self-esteem. I am also trained in high conflict divorce situations, parental alienation and helping children adjust during and after separation and divorce. Credentials & Experience: I graduated with my bachelors from Texas A&M (whoop!) in 2007 and then obtained my master in Counseling Psychology from Tarleton State University in 2010. I am licensed as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in the state of Texas.
"I use a combination of therapy types depending on the needs of my clients. I often use a combination of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution Focused Therapy."
