About
Navigating trauma can leave you feeling sad or down, emotionally unstable, unable to sleep, stuck in constant negative thoughts, and overwhelmed with no clear idea of what to do next. You may wonder what it feels like to feel “normal” again, not scanning the room for what might harm you, laughing freely, feeling safe, having a healthy relationship, or even dating again. I believe insight and education, paired with a clear plan of action, can help create real and lasting change. I work with individuals struggling with substance use, PTSD, anxiety, and depression. My goal is to partner with you to set achievable goals in a safe, supportive, and nonjudgmental space. Together we’ll build insight, develop coping skills, and create lasting change so you can move beyond survival and begin living a fuller, more balanced life. I work with adolescents, adults, and families from ALL cultures, with a special focus on supporting Black and Brown communities to break mental health stigma. Together, we can create a safe space to explore challenges and start building a happier, more balanced life. Specialties: I work with clients who may be struggling with the impact of trauma on their ability to navigate through relationships, social interactions and functioning in general. During our sessions we will dive into the issues that you are dealing with and develop a plan to address them and reduce the negative impact that they are having in your life. Credentials & Experience: I have over 14 years of helping clients navigate through trauma and substance use. I'm licensed in both OH and SC and hold a certification in Accelerated Resolution Therapy. I am a Licensed Supervisor for therapists in South Carolina.
"Accelerated Resolution Therapy (ART) has been an amazing addition in my practice to use with clients to process through trauma, depressive symptoms, anxiety and everything in between. ART uses rapid eye movements to process through negative images and replace with positive images for an improvement in overall mental wellbeing."
