I have been working for many years with adolescents, adults and their families, treating mental health and substance abuse issues. I am also a trained clinician to provide families with the skills and preparations for a clinical intervention. My treatment approach is cognitive/behavioral therapy, focusing on problem solving, coping skills, issues related to relapse and continued recovery, couples therapy, family relationships. I consider myself as a "conduit" for my client's coming to their readiness for behavioral and lifestyle changes, and alternative ways of thinking and caring for themselves. I pride myself in the ability to be available, listen, engage and support self awareness and self efficacy.
