Stephanie Sweda
Licensed Professional Counselor
About
I specialize in treating clients with anxiety, depression, bipolar disorders, PTSD, substance use issues, and those who feel outcast or chronically misunderstood. I am culturally sensitive, LGBTQ+ affirming, and I enjoy working with people from all walks of life. If you would like an open-minded therapist who listens, meets you where you are, and offers a collaborative treatment approach, please contact me. I am committed to helping you to heal and build the life you want. I offer an evidence-based model of care that is trauma-informed, strengths-based and person-centered. My theoretical orientation is eclectic. Therapeutic interventions are customized to the individual and include Cognitive-Behavioral, Interpersonal Social Rhythm, Existential, Mindfulness, Motivational Interviewing and others. If parts of this profile resonate with you please contact me via email, text or phone call. Or if you prefer, just set an appointment via the weblink provided. I hope to hear from you! Specialties: In addition to education, training, and work experience, as a dual-diagnosed, substance abuser in recovery, I understand from lived experience many of the challenges my clients face. I also understand how to expedite the path to healing. Credentials & Experience: I hold Master's Degrees in both Clinical Mental Health Counseling, and Addictions Counseling.
"Not all therapeutic methods work well for all people. As an eclectic therapist I draw from a variety of disciplines and may use a range of evidence-based methods to help a client. My goal is to customize the therapeutic process for each individual by using whatever form of treatment, or combination of treatments, is most effective for their particular issue."
