About
Hi There! Thanks for taking the time to visit my page. Many of my clients have reached a place where they are no longer comfortable with the status quo. Perhaps you're looking to improve your self worth; process the ongoing impacts of childhood trauma; or maybe you're transitioning to a new relationship structure. Many of my clients seek out therapy to get to know themselves and their partners better, and find improved ways to navigate their relationships. My hope is that sessions leave you with curiosities about yourself and others, and a feeling of empowerment and possibility. Over the past couple of years, I've so enjoyed working with polyamorous and ethically non-monogamous couples and systems. Around 85% of couples I currently work with are ENM. I also love working with monogamous couples and family systems, healthcare workers and first responders, and LGBTQ folks! I believe that we cannot fully understand ourselves unless we consider the ways that race, gender, sexuality, community, childhood, and other systems have impacted us. Please give me a call or send me an email so that I can answer any questions you may have. Looking forward to speaking with you! Specialties: I work with folks who may be experiencing struggles in their mood, relationships, and within themselves. We will discuss your family and social circles, current relationships, and ways you'd like your life to look and feel. Therapy will feel difficult at first, as we are changing patterns of behavior and setting boundaries. The process can be reflective, difficult, and transformative. Credentials & Experience: I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the District of Columbia and in the State of Pennsylvania. I enjoy working with those processing their and family and trauma histories, as well as first responders/medical professionals, and ethically non-monogamous folks/polyamorous folks.
"I use Experiential Family Therapy, Feminist Theory, and Multicultural Therapy in sessions; viewing relationships from a systems lens. This means that we will notice patterns of thinking and behavior as they occur, and often work to shift narratives in real-time. We are always processing the impacts of race, gender, sexuality, trauma, and other factors during session."
