About
I work with neurodivergent folks who are looking to unmask and live an authentic life. Whether you qualify for a diagnosis of ADHD or autism, or you simply recognize yourself in some of the characteristics, I can help you develop tools to embrace your emotions and build meaningful relationships. A lot of people deal with their emotions by shoving them down and avoiding them- this doesn't work so well for people who are neurodivergent. Together we can dive deep to understand why you're feeling what you're feeling and process through it. We can practice exercises to regulate your nervous system and build self trust over time. I individualize the sessions to what it is you need most and work closely with you to process painful feelings and experiences as they arise. I can help you build skills to rework your relationship to intrusive thoughts or obsessive, ruminating thoughts patterns if that's something you are struggling with. Clients tell me I am warm, open, non judgmental and have a calm and grounding presence. I know finding the right therapist can be hard. I encourage you to trust your gut. If you feel like I could be a good fit for you I hope you will consider reaching out. I'm happy to get to know you over the phone a bit before we commit to a first session. Specialties: If you identify as nuerodivergent, whether you meet criteria for Autism and/or ADHD or not, I can help you understand yourself on a deeper level and develop tools and strategies for how to navigate this overstimulating world we live in. Credentials & Experience: I have over 9 years of experience doing individual counseling. My special interest is helping neurodiverse people live their best lives.
"I often use somatic based therapy to see how your body is holding trauma or stress and find ways to release it. I also use a lot of Internal Family Systems or parts work to explore what parts of you may be holding on to old patterning that's no longer working for you. Ultimately you get to decide what goals we set and what we prioritize working on."
