About
I work with people who feel stuck in painful or ineffective cycles. I have experience helping clients with concerns such as trauma, anxiety, mood issues, and relationship problems. Together, we will explore unhelpful thoughts and learn ways to change them or relate to them differently. We will also build skills to better regulate and express emotions. I will encourage you to be curious about yourself and to try new behaviors. For couples, we will focus on friendship, shared meaning, and healthy conflict. Clients who tend to benefit most from my work are open to feedback and willing to engage in a collaborative therapeutic process. I use interventions that strengthen mental flexibility, self-awareness, and a sense of empowerment. I focus on both internal processes and external factors to help clients create alignment between their values and how they live day-to-day. This work often helps individuals loosen the grip of perfectionism, decrease self-doubt, and improve confidence. I believe people have the capacity to grow if they are willing to do the work. Mental health does not mean the absence of struggle, but the ability to face life’s challenges with self-compassion and accountability. My goal is for my practice to reflect and support these values. Feel free to reach out if you think we would be a good fit! Specialties: I especially enjoy working with clients wanting to improve their ability to handle overwhelming emotions such as anxiety, panic, and self-esteem issues. I also like helping clients improve their relationships with others, whether that be through individual or couples therapy. Credentials & Experience: I have completed Gottman Level 1 training through the Gottman Institute.
"For individuals, I often use ACT, which focuses on changing one's relationship with challenges and taking committed action that aligns with one's values. However, I am flexible and tailor my approach to each client's needs. For couples, I use the Gottman Method, which focuses on friendship, shared meaning, and healthy conflict."
