About
The three primary goals I help my clients work towards in therapy are healing, recovery, and change. My areas of concentration include trauma, depression, anxiety, grief, divorce recovery, narcissistic abuse recovery, and work/career-related stress. Because your unique needs bring you to therapy, we will develop goals to meet such needs and evaluate our progress as we work towards set goals. My approach to treatment is conventional (evidence-based techniques), and faith-based Christian counseling. None of us is immune to life's stressors, but effective therapy can help us remain at peace as we handle those. I provide individual, premarital, and marriage counseling. I administer alcohol and drug assessments (ADSAC/DUI Evaluations). I also offer therapy for counselors - a safe place to process their feelings about relationships, marriage, parenting, school, finances, work, etc., so they can thrive as helpers. I'll help you develop positive coping skills to deal with life stressors so you can reclaim your peace emotionally, spiritually, and relationally. I believe God holds the key to solving our problems, and I rely on His guidance in helping you reclaim your peace as you walk your journey of healing, recovery, and change. I look forward to meeting you. Specialties: I typically work with you for six months with evidenced-based interventions tailored to your needs. Most clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month, and consistent improvement thereafter. We will stretch out your sessions or discharge you as the symptoms lift. Credentials & Experience: The transformation that occurs through effective therapy is an amazing experience. Taking the first step is difficult, but the result is worth it.
"In your first few sessions, we will explore what brought you to therapy. Together we will set clear, specific, goals that can help you measure your progress. I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy and other evidence-based interventions to walk with you on your journey of healing or change. It is normal for therapy to feel uncomfortable at first. The discomfort eases off as we establish rapport."
