About
Starting therapy can feel daunting. Congrats on starting your process, and I’m here to make sure that it is meaningful to you. I bring a personal, passionate approach shaped by my own experiences and a deep interest in mental and emotional health. Together, we’ll identify challenges and work on strategies to help you move forward with confidence. I help by using psychoeducation, Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), mindfulness, and grounding exercises, all of which we'll tailor to your preferences and needs. In our first few sessions, you can expect to set up goals and a framework for us to work in and provide you with tools to offer some relief immediately. I want to be your ally as you tackle hard issues and like to use humor when appropriate, as well as be plain-speaking and direct. I prioritize clear, open communication to create a supportive, non-judgmental environment. I will give you opportunities to reflect on your experiences as an empathetic partner. If we’re working through something challenging, you can expect me to be calm and patient. Specialties: I work with people who struggle with hyperactivity, impulsivity, poor planning and organizing, feeling overwhelmed, excessive worry and fear, fear of abandonment, ruminating thoughts, attention-seeking or self-harming behaviors, and panic attacks. Credentials & Experience: I use psychoeducation, mindfulness, and grounding exercises, all tailored to your preferences and needs. In our first few sessions, you can expect to set up goals and a framework for us to work in and receive tools to offer some relief immediately.
