About

When our lives are at their hardest, our thoughts, feelings, and actions seem to pile on to make things even harder. I’m here to support using evidenced-based tools, warmth, kindness, patience, curiosity, and an occasional dose of humor to improve your day-to-day functioning and quality of life long-term. Using Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and a larger picture of your environment, past, and relationships, we can cultivate skills of awareness and flexibility. These skills help to uncover patterns of thoughts or emotions that may be compounding your distress, to enhance your ability to respond, and endure a lack of control. The end goal is to move you towards actions that are aligned with your values. Know that doing this will be a collaboration of our combined strengths and perspectives. Your insights and expertise of your own experience are crucial for me to hear and respond to every session. Together we will find the unique mix of support and interventions that fit you best. I bring experience supporting folks through anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship challenges, struggles with self-worth, illness, death and grief, job loss and dissatisfaction, and life transitions. I work with adults and young adults, and have a special interest in working with elder’s unique life challenges. If we might be a good fit, please reach out.

"I use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy in my practice. With ACT, we'll observe how your thoughts and feelings affect your behavior an your experience of life more broadly. We'll also explore what gives your life meaning & direction. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to respond to thoughts & feelings in more flexible ways, to reduce your pain & better align your actions with your values."
