About

What does it REALLY mean to be holistic and integrative? It means - you are a universe of different thoughts, quirks, capabilities, physical attributes, emotions, neurological functions, shortcomings, and strengths. It means problems aren't created - or solved - in a vacuum. In order to truly heal, we have to address the relationships between mind, body, spirit, and emotions. We have to consider the Universe. I work with members of all faiths (Christian or not) to restore the connection between mental health, physical health and spiritual healing. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) - but over half of my clients are individuals. I have a Master of Divinity (M.Div) and practice Pastoral Counseling as well. If faith is important to you, I can work within that. But it's not a requirement. I also help persons with cancer discover the emotional roots of the condition to spur healing. My practice integrates the skills of listening, conversation, meditation, Reiki (when/if client agrees) and intuition. I weave these together with the techniques of energy work, verbal dialogue and spiritual presence. Between-session homework may include things like dream journaling, self-dialogue, dialogue with your partner, and various self-care exercises. Specialties: I work with individuals and couples who feel emotionally and spiritually stuck. With individuals I use, among other approaches, Internal Family Systems along with close body listening as means to a more fulfilled life. I help couples connect more deeply in many ways, often using Wired for Love by Stan Tatkin as a resource. Credentials & Experience: I am not only a licensed therapist but also an ordained minister in a progressive denomination as well as a trained practitioner of reiki and integrated energy therapy. Any and all of these areas can benefit our work together.

"I often use Internal Family Systems as a way of empowering clients tp both heal and grow. I like the non-judgemental approach of No Bad Parts by Richard Schwartz. Our parts always have good motives but sometimes their methods trip us up. That is where we begin to work with your core Self to run your life well."
