All services are available in English and Spanish. My name is Makenzie Schmitt, and I specialize in evaluations for individuals going through immigration proceedings. I strive to provide a compassionate and comfortable space for clients while at the same time producing a thorough and professionally written evaluation. My assessment will address specific factors which help immigration courts determine if an individual or family may remain lawfully in the United States. I offer evaluations for the following types of immigration cases• Waivers (I-60 and I-60A) • Cancellation of Removal • VAWA and Spousal Abuse • U-Visas • Asylum I offer services in Spanish and English and can organize interpreters for other languages. I have completed specialized evaluation training through the Immigration Evaluation Institute and Physicians for Human Rights. Many of the individuals I work with have experienced trauma. I am trained in trauma-specific therapies of EMDR and TF-CBT.
