Anne Brubacher
Licensed Clinical Social Worker
·LCSWAbout
My approach to therapy is like me as a person: straightforward, engaged, and practical. I use humor when appropriate and try to have as good a time as possible with the process. Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is the model I work from most while always having the Solution-Focused model in mind. I work with adults and young adults on issues including anxiety, relationships, communication, decision making, transitions, anger management, self confidence, depression, and contentment. On a personal note, I've lived in Colorado for 23 years, and love to get outside in the sunshine. I still consider the plains of Kansas, where I grew up and visit often, my home. Aside from work, I spend lots of time at youth sporting events, having conversations about current events, and prioritizing exercise for mental and physical health. Deciding to find someone to talk to about feeling better and making changes is a courageous step. I look forward to working with you to uncover, or dust off, your skills and abilities in shaping your thoughts and actions to best advance your happiness and goals. Please call, text, or e-mail, to get started. Specialties: I am successful in supporting clients to manage anxiety, life transitions, improve communication, establish useful routines, accept emotions and bring mindfulness skills to everyday activities. I work with you to establish goals for therapy and support a plan to make steady progress towards those goals. Credentials & Experience: I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker with over 25 years of experience working with youth and adults to make positive life changes.
"The primary therapy I use is Cognitive Behavioral Therapy which looks at how thoughts and emotions work together to shape actions. Solution Focused therapy, strengths perspective and motivational interviewing are other modalities I use. I also know the value of listening, and how telling a story that hasn't been told to a neutral party before can open understanding and bring a sense of relief."
