About
Love, attachment, beauty, and relationship form the basis of a good life, regulated nervous system, and flourishing creativity. This is my focus. We all need to feel connected, loved, and understood by those closest to us, and our health and vitality thrive when we do. In fact, when our attachment relationships are strong, we become more imaginative and playful at work and everywhere else. With more than 30 years' experience, I use EMDR, attachment methods, and art therapy to help my clients heal from trauma, repair attachment bonds, and move into deeper resonance with their loved ones. I use art and performance EMDR methods to help clients recover and improve their creative lives. Often, in-home therapy or collaborative coaching allows me to help individuals and couples in their home environments to reconnect and create joyful and restorative spaces. Many people feel stuck in relationships that are lonely, in jobs that no longer align with their creative longings, or in spaces that are cluttered or bleak. If these situations sound familiar, you're not alone. Check out my books on The Art of Self-EMDR to get started or reach out to me directly. Specialties: I work with all types of trauma, most specifically relationship disconnection and spiritual or religious trauma. I use narrative, EMDR, and attachment-based methods to help individuals work through old pain, regain creativity, and help couples repair and strengthen their attachment relationships. Attachment EMDR can help parents and children resolve trauma in their attachment relationships too. Credentials & Experience: I am EMDR trained (15 years) and board certified in Couple and Family Psychology.
"I use EMDR therapy with almost all my clients, incorporating other methods as needed, especially art and narrative. In our first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and construct a genogram. This is like a family tree that shows relationships and patterns in your family system. Then we'll make a plan for helping you get relief and move toward more of what you want."
