About
I help people work through anxiety and traumatic events they have experienced in life. Some have been in the battlefield of war, many have been in the battlefield of their own home. The very place where safety and nurturing were expected became the source of fear and confusion. Some can't really remember trauma, they have just always known this sense of dread and excessive worry. My mission is to create an accepting and supportive environment that helps you recognize patterns in your life that maintain your distress and find new thoughts and actions that will bring you the freedom to become the best version of yourself. Trauma and anxiety are at the heart of the majority of mental health needs. That is why I spend the majority of my continuing education hours and research on courses that help me provide trauma informed care and coping skills for anxiety disorders such as GAD, OCD, and Panic disorder. Do not continue suffering in silence. Help is here. Begin your journey now! Specialties: I tailor services to your individual needs. Some people find the tools they need in as few as 5 sessions. Others who have deeper trauma or persistent mental health conditions remain in therapy much longer. We generally review your progress after 6 sessions and decide your next steps. Credentials & Experience: I have completed certification courses in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Trauma Treatment, Treating Anxiety, and Telehealth services.
"I most often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. As we get to know each other during your sessions I will let your needs guide my decision making as to the most appropriate ways to bring help. I also heavily rely on mindfulness based methods to help you gain coping skills that benefit mind, body, and spirit."
