About
Are you an exhausted parent who puts everyone first and always seems to neglect yourself? Do you feel guilty taking time for yourself? It sounds so cliche, but it is true that you have to help yourself before you can help others. You cannot pour from an empty cup. Make the commitment to put yourself first by connecting with a therapist who can help support you in whatever goals you want for yourself. My approach is gentle and eclectic, person-centered and collaborative. You are the expert of yourself and sometimes it's helpful to have someone to listen to understand. Areas that I specialize in include: working with parents, single parents, couples, adult adoptees, as well as individuals exploring their identity, gender expression, people who have experienced trauma, including childhood and racialized trauma, as well as depression, anxiety, etc. I can see people who live in MN or WI. Building trust and rapport within the therapeutic relationship is important to me. I am also a parent and I know that parenting is one of the hardest jobs you can have, and “adulting” while parenting is hard too. I like to normalize this hard stuff and validate feelings. I believe that we are all out there trying to do our best. Credentials & Experience: I am licensed in both Minnesota and Wisconsin and have experience working with families, individuals, parents, adolescents, couples, people in crisis and people within the adoption circle as well as foster care.
