About
Accepting new clients as of December 2024! You know your depression or anxiety well. You spend almost every day together, after all, like an annoying relative who keeps inviting themselves over to your house no matter how much you ignore them. But knowing is only half the battle. Dealing with your symptoms or how they impact your day to day life and relationships? That's another story. Your emotions seem to work differently than other people's, impossible to control or manage, but you don't know what to do about it. Anything you've tried so far hasn't really worked, and you feel stuck and exhausted. I can help you with the other half of the battle. You know yourself best, and that knowledge is key. My job is to help you take that knowledge and build on it, learn ways of coping with your problems that fit who you are as a person. We’ll explore your thoughts and emotions in a safe, non-judgmental space and figure out how to move forward, together. Ready to learn how to regulate your emotions and feel more in control of your life? Reach out to book an intake or consultation with me. In therapy, we'll take a straightforward and supportive approach that focuses on what works for you. Together, we can make the struggle of life feel more doable, one small step at a time. Specialties: Complex or complicated issues won't scare me away, and I'm about as even-keeled as they come. We'll talk about what you want to get out of therapy, what you want your life to look like in a year or five years, and come up with a plan to move in that direction together. Credentials & Experience: I've helped teens and adults with long-term, chronic issues build a sense of meaning and learn how to manage their symptoms better in intensive outpatient groups for many years. I'm trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and can help just about anyone learn new coping skills.
"I'm a seasoned DBT clinician and can talk skill acronyms with you like no other, but I also try to talk like a regular person in session! The most important thing is that we understand each other and are on the same page about what we're doing."
