About
I want to thank you for taking your first step to taking care of you! To me, therapy is a journey. Everyone has something; whether its a difficult life transition, a sudden loss, struggle with addiction, difficulty processing past traumatic experiences, depression or anxiety. Therapy can help by talking and implementing different "tools' to help handle the "waves of life." I want to help YOU live your best life! Let me introduce myself, I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in the state of MA. I have an undergraduate degree in Psychology with a minor in Sociology from the University of Massachusetts at Amherst. My graduate degree is Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Antioch University New England. I am currently working on my PhD in Traumatology. I use several methods of therapy including Client Centered, Grief, Mindfulness, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Trauma based therapy, Positive Psychology and Solution-focused. I have used various therapeutic methods myself for healing and survival. I will share what I have learned with you so you too can "ride the wave of life" in peace and harmony. Specialties: Grief therapy is a journey. Everyone has loss, and everyone processes and handles loss differently. Grief is despair and will always surface, no matter how deep you push it down. During our sessions, we will talk about your loved one and do small homework assignments to help process your loss. I will give you tools and help you through the most difficult part of life. Credentials & Experience: I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) with 14 years experience, I am a grief/bereavement specialist and will help you walk the journey of loss. Together, we can process unresolved trauma and heal past wounds. I work with ages 14 and up.
"I like using Mindfulness based techniques as well as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. These modalities use your brain, a very powerful tool, to create new neural pathways for healing and positive thinking. Together, we can reframe negative thoughts and strengthen the brain so when life hits us, we can manage chronic pain, loss, depression, anxiety. I will help you with the mind-body connection."
