About
Have you been waiting to start the search for a therapist, but find that it's more difficult than you thought? Sometimes our current needs make it harder to take the next steps. Whether you're managing symptoms of depression and anxiety, learning who you are again after a breakup, noticing an unhelpful behavior getting in the way of your ability to thrive, or simply looking for purpose, I've been there. Guess what? I'm here to support you with creating a life of meaning and finally finding some relief. It's my job to meet you where you're at, and it takes two to establish a strong, sincere connection. By using an authentic approach to therapy, I strive to create a space where you feel comfortable enough to be your truest self, which allows us to make vital discoveries, align your goals with your personal values, and encourage healing. I believe that there's something special when you find a therapist who just gets you. It would be my pleasure to set up a 15-minute consultation to see if we are a good match, and if we are, we can set up our first appointment. I look forward to learning more about you. As a note, I am currently licensed in the state of Maryland. Specialties: I work well with a variety of clients of all identities and issues. That stated, if you may find it helpful, I identify as a member of the LGBTQ community. Credentials & Experience: After earning my degree from Johns Hopkins University, I've worked over 3 years as a therapist focused on supporting adults through big life transitions, addressing symptoms of anxiety and depression, and exploring their identity. I'm licensed in the state of Maryland.
"The foundation of my work is rooted in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Our first few sessions will focus on building our connection and discovering you. Through this discovery phase, we'll label and embrace your values, uncover your intrusive thoughts and core beliefs, and identify tools and skills needed to address your therapeutic needs."
