About
Hello! I am passionate about helping individuals gain the skills to cope with everyday stressors and life transitions. I specialize in trauma, anxiety, depression, and life transitions ranging from school, work, the perinatal period, and motherhood. My approach is warm and down-to-earth, and my goal is to create a safe, welcoming space where clients can truly be themselves. I combine compassion with evidence based approaches to create a treatment plan tailed to you. I love the opportunity to work with clients from various cultural backgrounds and understand how it can integrate into our work together. I have advanced training in mindfulness and somatic work, cognitive therapies, and women's issues to support clients on their healing journey. I believe in the power of therapy to heal generational trauma and practice restorative justice. Whether it's learning new skills or processing your past, I walk with you on your road to recovery. Therapy is a unique and individual experience. I frequently check-in with my clients to measure our progress together. No hard feelings if we need to pause or refer out, I understand the struggle of finding a therapist that fits you! I believe everyone should have access to quality mental health care, so please reach out if you have any questions about cost. Specialties: I find that my clients leave my appointments feeling empowered about their choices and feeling confident about the next steps on their journey. Credentials & Experience: I'm licensed in both MD and VA and hold additional certification in trauma-informed and perinatal therapy.
