About

In our work together, all of you is welcome. I am honored to accompany you in your process of healing, understanding, and integrating your whole self - which may include parts of yourself that you’ve adapted to reject or disconnect from. My therapeutic orientation is relational, experiential, feminist, and trauma-informed. I use techniques from psychodynamic, person-centered, and emotion-focused therapies, mindfulness, and somatic modalities including hakomi and trauma-informed yoga. We'll collaboratively hold whatever comes up, even when those multiplicities seem to contradict each other, gently making space for all that's there. In our time we will work creatively to tailor therapy to your particular challenges and strengths, and find ways to support your own capacity for self-reflection. We will explore past experiences alongside present-moment needs, desires, and challenges through contact with thoughts, emotions, relationships, and dreams at a pace attuned to your nervous system. There will be space for celebration and laughter in company with what is hard. We'll weave connections between past and present to nurture hope for the future. If you are curious about working together, please reach out to schedule a brief phone call so we can explore whether we may be a good fit! Specialties: Along with gradual alleviation of more acute symptoms, our work in therapy will support your own capacity for self-reflection and regulation to meet ongoing challenges as they arise. Credentials & Experience: I have been supporting those who have experienced acute and complex trauma for over a decade, beginning as a trauma-informed yoga instructor and now in my work as a therapist. I also offer EMDR.

"I know from experience that a strong relational alliance is foundational to effective therapy - from there we will tailor treatment to your specific needs, with flexibility to employ various modalities to address acute and complex trauma, anxiety and rumination, interpersonal challenges, existential questions, stress, and mood."
