About
Welcome to a place where you can find understanding and support tailored specifically for you. I understand that life in our beautiful state can come with some unique challenges, especially when resources feel limited. As your therapist, my goal is to help you tackle issues like anxiety, depression, trauma, and relationship problems. Together, we will create a solid connection in which you can share your difficulties and your experiences. I’ll provide you with practical tools to manage your emotions and improve your relationships. You’ll learn to face challenges with confidence and find ways to feel happier and more in control. I use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help you change negative thoughts and behaviors. Together, we will identify what’s holding you back and work on practical solutions to feel better. You will learn skills to manage stress, overcome challenges, and improve your mood to help you lead a more fulfilling life. I offer service through telehealth, so you do not have to come to a counseling office. Whether you live in Kittery or Fort Kent, Rangely or Calais, or any point in between, I can help! I also offer early morning sessions, as well as evening sessions. Specialties: I work with clients with anxiety, depression, or trauma related to issues with their families of origin, primary intimate relationships, and other situational stressors. We will work together to identify the main focus of concern, and to put together a plan to reach your goals and objectives for healing and personal growth. Credentials & Experience: I have six years experience as a crisis service provider, sometimes meeting with people on the worst day of their lives. I am also an college instructor in a program that prepares case managers and substance abuse counselors for their professions.
"I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) to help clients. At your first session, we will talk about why you came to therapy and how I can help you. We will examine how your thoughts influence your feelings and what you experience daily. I will teach you ways to challenge those thoughts so you can change your feelings for the better. We will work on making positive changes in your life."
