About
I am licensed in LA, AL, MS, MI, and UT with 16 years of professional social work experience. I have experience in helping clients cope with addictions, family conflicts, trauma and abuse, & parenting issues. I work with my clients to create an open and safe environment where thoughts and feelings can be shared without fear of judgment. Taking the first step to seek a more fulfilling and happier life takes courage. I am here to support you in that process. I have been seen as a great listener and easy to talk to. I am celebrating this very first important step with you! You got this, and I’m here to support you! I offer a strength-based, client-driven approach to addressing problems identified by you, the client. Through cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) or trauma-focused CBT, my goal is to help you access, learn, and utilize the skills needed to accomplish goals that you have identified during our time together. Sometimes, life can be challenging. Feeling overwhelmed, stressed, depressed, anxious, or even dealing with the death of someone close to you can be difficult. We all have these moments at some point. Sometimes, we need someone to help us change how we view challenges. I'm here to help you navigate those difficult times. Click on my website to book with me. Specialties: I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or trauma related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Credentials & Experience: I have over 16 years of experience helping adults, teens, children, and families. I'm licensed in LA as a clinical social worker and hold additional certification in TF-CBT and trauma-informed therapy.
"I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better."
