About
Life can be difficult, at times, presenting challenges that seem overwhelming! While many people experience struggles, individuals who learn effective skills (i.e. coping, conflict resolution, stress management, communication) and become empowered through counseling can often experience emotional well-being once again! I would be honored to work with you, through the development of a supportive and trusting relationship, to unfold some of the concerns and issues you are experiencing. Utilizing evidenced-based treatment interventions primarily from cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and humanistic therapy modalities from a Christian perspective, I enjoy working with adult clients/couples experiencing a wide array of concerns related to anxiety, depression, grief/loss, interpersonal strife/discord, life adjustment, and work. With extensive experience in the aforementioned areas, I specialize in the treatment of social-emotional behavior concerns of young children resulting from physical and/or emotional abuse. I would be privileged to take this healing journey with you! You can make an appointment with me via my website. Managing life challenges well can be a reality! Specialties: I work with clients who may be struggling with depression or anxiety related to their relationships or family. During our initial sessions, we will delve deeply into the issues at hand, and collaborate to create a plan for addressing them in a way that helps you get your life back. Most of my clients see a gradual lifting of symptoms within the first month and maintaine improvement thereafter.
"I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better.""
