About
I specialize in OCD and sex therapy, and where the two overlap. I work with obsessive themes of all kinds— from germs to relationships and existential concerns. But if you’re anxious about the types of thoughts you’d prefer to never tell another living soul— like hurting people, pedophilia, sexual orientation, incest…that sort of thing— I’m definitely the right therapist. That stuff is my speciality. You’ll be surprised how easy it will be to talk to me about it. I also work with individuals and couples on the more typical sexual concerns, like mismatched libidos, struggles to talk about and negotiate sexual tastes, sexual shame, sexual self-esteem, performance anxieties, identifying and living your sexual values, etc. My style is direct, informative, and practical, but also relaxed and funny. I take helping my clients seriously, but I don't take myself too seriously. Specialties: I specialize in OCD, anxiety, depression, and sexual concerns for individuals and couples. My approach is personalized and values-sensitive, creating a trusting, nonjudgmental space to address anxiety, shame, preferences, performance issues, mismatched libidos, unwanted behavior, and the role of eroticism in life and relationships. Credentials & Experience: In addition to a Master's in Marriage and Family Therapy and certification from the International OCD Foundation & Massachusetts General Hospital, I am also a PhD candidate in Clinical Sexology.
"I use evidence-based methods tailored to each client. For OCD, I specialize in CBT with Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP). I also draw from CBT, positive psychology, evolutionary psychology, and attachment theory to combine practical tools with deeper insights, helping clients make lasting changes in thought patterns, behavioral habits, and relationships."
