About

The fact that you’re reading this is proof of hope, the thing that carries us through hardship. Working together, we can build on that hope and change or adapt to what you’re facing. Be it depression, anxiety, trauma, addiction, or the challenges of relationships, work, or parenting, I am prepared to help. For my part, you can expect know-how, collaboration, and understanding. It’s important for me to know where you’re coming from. From there, we’ll define the problems in solvable ways and work on them using proven therapies. I have over 25 years of experience at the doctoral and pre-doctoral levels and I’m versed in a variety of research-supported treatments, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Prolonged Exposure, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Mindful Meditation, and Therapeutic Lifestyle Change. Using these therapies, people can shift from surviving to thriving. Apart from my clinical work, I also offer professional development consultation, using concepts from Acceptance and Commitment Therapy and Stoic Philosophy; the original self-help movement. Be it clinical or consultation services, I offer virtual evening and weekend appointments. Please reach out to me and let’s get started. Specialties: While I have experience treating a wide range of problems, I have in-depth training and experience in treating depression, anxiety, trauma, and adjustment to life changes. I am also keenly interested health psychology and helping clients make and sustain healthy lifestyle changes that improve mental well-being. Credentials & Experience: In 2006, I completed my doctorate in psychology at Kansas University. From there, I went on to an APA accredited internship with the Eastern Kansas VA Healthcare System and have worked there since then, treating Veterans with a range of issues, including combat trauma.

"I am trained in the use of various types of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Exposure Therapy. I also rely quite a bit on Therapeutic Lifestyle Change; a treatment that taps into the mental health benefits of supportive social connection, physical activity, bright light exposure, good sleep, dietary factors, and breaking cycles of negative thinking."
