About
Are you living in Kansas and experiencing symptoms of hopelessness? anxiety? depression? Our organizational mission is to improve access to quality mental health care in the Kansas area. I believe, by establishing firmly planted roots within Kansas, partnering with families and local communities and organizations, providing mental health services, and connecting families with educational resources, that the path to hope can be discovered in the midst of a seemingly hopeless circumstance. My primary philosophical approach to treatments and interventions is from a Strengths-Based Perspective which puts the strengths and resources of people, communities, and their environments at the center of the helping process rather than the problems and pathologies. Some of the treatment approaches that we utilize are CBT, DBT, SFBT, and Family Systems. I have worked in the mental health field for over 10 years in a variety of positions and received his Masters of Social Welfare Degree from the University of Kansas in 2019, and Doctorate of Social Work in 2025. Issues he commonly work with include: trauma, anxiety, depression, behavior problems, ADHD, divorce, parenting struggles, anger, and grief/loss. Specialties: For depression and or anxiety, I would initially work with a client for 3 months or 12 sessions (one treatment plan cycle) with cognitive behavioral therapy. Depending on the client strengths and needs of the client, we may include other empirical therapies, which we would discuss. After the the first cycle, we would have a treatment plan review to determine the direction of future services. Credentials & Experience: I have a doctorate of social work and over 10 years in the mental health field serving clients. I'm also licensed only in the state of Kansas.
"I often use Cognitive Behavioral Therapy in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you to therapy and then decide the most appropriate ways to help you make progress. With CBT, we'll look at how your thoughts affect your emotions and experience. During treatment, I'll help you learn how to push back against those thoughts to change your feelings for the better."
