About

I typically work with children, adolescents, adults, and their families experiencing mood, behavioral, stress/trauma, and neurodevelopment related issues. Clients may often see me for symptom management in mood disorders (e.g., anxiety and depression), compliance issues relating to ODD, in trauma and stress processing as in PTSD and Adjustment Disorders, as well as neurodevelopment challenges in ADHD and ASD. Goals often include increasing emotional regulation, increasing compliance and conduct, and increasing in self-awareness and insight to successfully cope and manage a multitude of symptoms, thereby nurturing growth and success. I take an integrative, holistic Person-Centered and Trauma-focused approach to therapy. I offer various techniques (e.g., Motivational Interviewing, Scripting, Imaginative Exposure, Role-play, Sand-Tray Therapy, etc.) derived from multiple therapeutic modalities; Cognitive-Behavior Therapy, Adlerian, Solution-Focused Therapy, Choice Theory, and Play Therapy. Asking for help can be the hardest yet most rewarding decision you can make. While ensuring your emotional and physical safety and wellbeing, I hope to provide you a comfortable and nonjudgmental space where we can explore your current or ongoing concerns or issues while offering empathy and support. You’re far too valuable in this world to struggle alone. Specialties: I work with clients who struggle with mood, behaviors, and stress/trauma-related concerns pertaining to families, relationships and life circumstances. During our sessions, we will explore into current issues, and collaborate by creating a treatment plan for that addresses them in an effective way. Most of my clients see a symptom lifting within the first month and sustained improvement thereafter. Credentials & Experience: I have extensive knowledge and experience helping children, teens, adults, and families suffering from various mental disorders including anxiety, depression, etc, using an integrative-holistic approach. I'm licensed in Kansas and hold additional training in play and trauma-focused therapies.

"I often use an integrative, holistic Person-Centered and trauma-focused therapies in my practice. In your first session, we'll explore what brought you counseling and discuss the most beneficial ways to help you make progress. With PCT and TFT, we'll explore interpersonal relationships, current diagnoses and treatment goals, as well as process ongoing trauma and stress-related issues and symptoms."
