About

Our emotions are a part of our lives, and they can not disappear or be ignored. Struggling with emotions can lead to a wide variety of mental health difficulties. Your experience may be a numbing of emotions, which can lead to depression, fatigue, feelings of worthlessness, guilt, or lack of drive. Or you may experience overwhelming emotions, which can lead to anxiety, PTSD, trauma responses, grief, panic attacks, obsessive-compulsive behaviors, or eating disorder behaviors. Either way, becoming whole-hearted and getting into good relationship with your emotions can lead to emotional relief and a more enjoyable and fulfilling life. Through my work in various levels of care, I’ve found that lasting emotional relief comes from being able to identify and manage emotions. To help with this, I draw on a variety of approaches—offering practical coping skills while also exploring the deeper challenges that may be fueling emotional distress. There's no wrong way to start. A free 15-minute consultation gives you the chance to ask questions and get a sense of how we work together — completely pressure-free. Ready to dive deeper? Feel free to book a full session from the get-go. It's a dedicated space to explore whatever's most important to you. Specialties: I work with clients who are out of sorts with their emotions, leading to a lack of emotions or overwhelming emotions. In my experience, most "issues" boil down to one of those two experiences. I work with clients to make a plan to address the emotions and examine the thoughts connected to them. Once we know what to do with our emotions, we can experience intense relief in our lives. Credentials & Experience: I've worked extensively as both a therapist and clinical director, supporting adults and adolescents in higher levels of care who are facing severe anxiety, depression, and eating disorders, as well as offering one-on-one support to many clients.

"I mostly use CBT, DBT, and ACT in my practice, depending on the level of emotional distress you may be experiencing. If you are experiencing a lot of emotional distress, we will be focusing on skills to get that down to a manageable level, then we will look into the underlying stressors, and end with how to live a fulfilling life no matter what is going on in your day-to-day."
