About
Hi, I'm Ross Moffat. I believe every person deserves the chance to live a life that feels purposeful, connected, and true to who they are. Originally from Scotland, I’m a former professional athlete, a longtime coach, and a dedicated father of four. These roles shape the way I show up in the therapy room—grounded, empathetic, and direct. I specialize in working with men who are capable, driven, and often carrying more than they let on. Many of the men I work with are functioning well on the outside but feel stuck, tense, disconnected, or overwhelmed internally. My approach is trauma-informed, relational, and practical. I help clients understand how early experiences and nervous system patterns shaped the ways they learned to cope — and how those strategies may now be getting in the way of connection, clarity, or fulfillment. Therapy with me is respectful, grounded, and not about being pushed into vulnerability before you’re ready. We work to make sense of emotions like shame, anger, guilt, and not-enoughness, while also creating clear forward movement when things feel stuck. I’m trained in EMDR and work with men, individuals, couples and families when it feels like a good fit. Reaching out can feel like a big step. If you’re curious, I’m happy to talk and see if it feels right.
"I take a client-centered, trauma-informed approach, meeting individuals where they are and tailoring treatment to fit their unique goals. EMDR, Internal Family Systems, and Emotionally Focused Therapy are some of the modalities I may draw from to help clients understand the past, stay present, and move purposefully toward the future."
