About
Nice to meet you — I’m glad you’re here. Taking the step to explore therapy is an investment in yourself, and it’s one that can truly change your quality of life. Therapy is a space to slow down, feel supported, and build tools that make life more manageable. I use evidence‑based and person‑centered approaches to help you strengthen confidence, reduce stress, and improve your quality of life. Whether you’re facing anxiety, trauma, or major life changes, you don’t have to navigate it alone. Together, we’ll work toward feeling more grounded and capable. I offer individual therapy using structured and eclectic approaches including: - Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) - Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) - Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) - Interpersonal Therapy (IPT) -Hypnotherapy - Substance Use counseling and education Always trauma informed and tailored to you. We all feel overwhelmed sometimes. You may be haunted by painful memories or stuck in patterns that no longer serve you. Even “solutions” can become problems. Let’s take a look together—with another set of eyes—and explore what truly works for you. You’re not alone. We’re in this together. Specialties: I work with clients struggling with depression, anxiety, post traumatic stress, and/or substance use issues which are negatively affecting their relationships, employment, or self image. I use a person centered approach. In our collaboration we will explore tools and education that can help you discover different perspectives on people, places, things, and yourself!" Credentials & Experience: I have many years of experience helping adults and veterans who are having mental wellness challenges. I'm licensed in Iowa and Alaska, and have been certified as a Master Addictions Counselor (MAC) by the National Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (NAADAC).
