About

Welcome! I'm so glad you're here! Whether you're seeking therapy for the first time or are ready to continue your healing journey, I am proud of you for taking the steps to prioritize your well-being! Counseling is my passion and purpose, and I am honored that you have considered embarking on this journey with me. While I specialize in treating trauma, I am well-versed in helping clients navigate the many difficulties of life. If you feel I would be a good fit, I encourage you to reach out; you've already taken the first step towards a healthier, happier life! I hope that therapy feels as comfortable as talking with a friend, with the added guidance and direction that a seasoned professional can bring. I believe that the therapeutic relationship is the primary mechanism of healing, and I am skilled at developing a solid rapport that serves as the foundation of our work. I truly believe that active listening is the foundation of good communication. I strive to ensure my clients feel heard, validated, and understood. I frequently reflect on what I've heard to help clients clarify their thoughts/feelings and to ensure my understanding before moving forward. Specialties: While I specialize in the treatment of trauma, I have 20 years of experience with treating depression, anxiety, mood disorders, relationship issues, grief/loss, pregnancy/post-partum issues, and much more. I am a Certified Clinical Trauma Professional, and I am trained in EMDR; I frequently use this type of therapy to help clients resolve underlying trauma that often brings them to therapy. Credentials & Experience: My hope is that therapy feels as comfortable as talking with a friend, with the added guidance and direction that a seasoned professional can bring. I prioritize using a warm, compassionate, and collaborative approach, tailoring treatment to your specific needs and preferences.
