About
It is a common experience to feel worried, adrift, and disconnected in this current moment. Many people report feeling stuck, and are searching for a sense of direction and purpose in their lives. Therapy can support you in making meaning out of challenging situations, exploring identity, and clarifying a path forward. Healing is a collaborative, connected experience, and your safety is vital in this process. I have immediate daytime and evening availability. My role as a therapist is to assist you in clarifying your values and goals and to find solutions that fit your life. I take an evidence-informed, trauma-competent approach to therapy. I believe in creating a safe and supportive space for all people to be themselves and to grow. My therapy practice is neurodiversity affirming, gender-affirming, and is sex-positive and body-positive. Call or schedule a free consultation to see how we might work together to ensure your needs are met in practice. Specialties: Clients tell me I'm most effective at helping them work with symptoms related to anxiety disorders, OCD, and managing life transitions. Typically, we will explore the history of your symptoms and past experiences, identify what these keep you from doing that matters to you, and then work to build distress tolerance. Credentials & Experience: I have six years experience as a therapist, with formal training in EMDR through EMDRIA, training in TF-CBT, and training in ERP.
"I typically use Acceptance & Commitment Therapy in addition to the other approaches listed. We will explore the kind of person you want to be (how you want to act) and what obstacles have come up in your life so far. We'll experiment with tools to help you be the kind of person you want to be in the face of these obstacles which can feel, or be, overwhelming to you."
