About
In the moments, when you feel stuck, unsafe, or overwhelmed; I'm here to help. My goal is to work alongside you as you interact with your own inner strength, self-worth, and capacity for love as you grow toward the best version of yourself. Perhaps trauma, an eating disorder, or depression has made you feel disconnected, lonely, and empty. My work with individuals, families, and found families helps people to reconnect, or connect for the first time, with themselves, with others, and with the world around them as their true, authentic selves. I work broadly with trauma, depression, and anxiety. I specialize in eating disorders including body dysmorphia, binge-eating disorder, anorexia nervosa, orthorexia, bulimia, and compulsive exercise. I provide eating disorder care through Farrington Specialty Centers. I also work with religious trauma and am LGBTQ+ friendly. The decision to begin therapy, whether for yourself, your child, or your family; can be incredibly daunting. For this reason, I offer a free 15-minute phone consultation to determine together if we are a good therapeutic fit. Specialties: While working together, I will bring trauma-informed tools to help you do the work that will make you feel safer and more aligned with your core values. For eating disorders, we'll explore the history of your relationship with food and your body image. We'll explore the function of your behaviors and together, move towards recovery. Credentials & Experience: I am currently pursuing certification as a Certified Eating Disorder Specialist (CEDS). I've trained in various modalities with an emphasis on trauma recovery.
"I often use "Internal Family Systems (IFS) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) in my practice. We'll explore the functions of the ways you tend to respond to the world around you. We'll make contact with your core-self and deeply held values and find ways to move towards those chosen values. I also integrate CBT and Somatic therapies in my practice."
