About
I enjoy working with a variety of individuals and a wide range of concerns and issues. I have experience working primarily with adults in multiple settings including university counseling centers and private practice. It's important that you feel there is a trusting, cooperative relationship where we can create hope for a better future, find purpose for your life, and work together to reach your goals. We will work collaboratively to empower you to create meaningful change in your life through encouragement, support, and understanding your concerns and perspective. Clients find me to be personable, honest, and compassionate. My clinical work incorporates multiple treatment approaches (developmental, interpersonal, multicultural, emotion-focused, and person-centered). Most importantly, I try to explore and understand someone’s experience by setting collaborative goals to create change. You'll find therapy with me to be supportive, non-judgmental, and strengths-based. Taking that first step can be difficult, but you're not alone. If you're ready to feel more in control, understood, and supported, I’d be honored to help. Change is possible, and you don’t have to do it all by yourself. When you're ready, I invite you to reach out and take that next step toward feeling better. Specialties: I specialize in helping clients navigate depression, anxiety, and men's issues through evidence-based therapy. Treatment typically includes goal-setting, emotional insight, and practical coping tools to help you feel more in control, connected, and confident in daily life, while building lasting skills for personal growth. Credentials & Experience: Dr. Scott is a licensed clinical psychologist in the State of Illinois. Dr. Scott also practices telehealth in over 40 states as a PSYPACT provider.
"I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches (including developmental, interpersonal, multicultural, emotion-focused, and client-centered therapies) to tailor treatment to each individual. At the heart of my work is a commitment to truly understanding your unique experience. Together, we'll set collaborative, meaningful goals to support growth and lasting change."
