About
Whether you are seeking therapeutic support to find new perspectives on old issues or have been confronted with a new crisis, finding the right therapist can seem daunting. Regardless of your presenting problem, you will be welcomed into a safe, nonjudgmental environment. We will work thru the dilemma and come to a resolution that enables you to feel better. I began my career specializing in children and adolescents in the school setting and have expanded to young adults, adults, seniors, couples and families. Particular foci throughout my career have included neurodivergence & ongoing support and advocacy of the LGBTQIA+ community. My expertise has been developed during my career that began in the early 1990s. From a variety of settings including inpatient psychiatry and K-12 schools I have developed a style uniquely my own. I was first an art therapist & then a school social worker. Later, I joined a private practice as a contractor and now I have a my own private therapy practice. Unique to my practice is the opportunity to communicate between sessions. Once our therapeutic alliance is established we are on the journey together. This can be helpful in order to stay focused on goals and for encouragement. The true joy of what I do & why I do it is that I get to join in the magic of healing & celebrate successes. Call or email today. Specialties: My specialties include the treatment of anxiety & depression. During our initial sessions we will focus on your presenting issue. This is an exciting period of time where you likely will feel relief and may feel apprehension. We will take things at your pace. I take my cues from you. As our therapeutic alliance deepens, we will create a treatment plan that will enable you to achieve your goals. Credentials & Experience: I am licensed by the Board of Social Work for the state of Iowa to practice social work through the Department of Health and Human Services. My license number is: 123530 Expires: December 31, 2024

Sessions are engaging, nonjudgmental and safe. I take a deep interest in my client's lives and feel honored to be invited into their worlds. You are the expert on your life experience. Together we will seek new solutions"
