About
My desire is to create a safe environment to identify personal struggles, and symptoms, how they impact daily activities and coping skills based on your strengths to manage better, communicate more effectively in relationships and care for yourself. I am trained in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for adults and for children, starting at age 4. I work hard to identify core emotions to promote self-regulation. I'm also trained in Circle of Security Parenting approach and attachment theory and utilize that as a foundation to building strong therapeutic relationship for success. Taking the first step into asking for help is difficult. I want to make the therapy process as warm and as comfortable as possible. I offer a free consultation to introduce you to the therapeutic process, invite you to ask many questions and see if we are a good fit. Meetings can be in person at Cultivation Counseling or Telehealth with Headway. Specialties: The goal of therapy is to create a safe place to identify and manage emotions and practice learning new skills, including mindfulness, distress tolerance, and emotional identification skills to support improving self-care, communicating needs, and increasing positive coping with daily stressors based upon your personal strengths. Credentials & Experience: With 9 years of professional practice in both community mental health and private practice, I offer a unique blend of therapeutic interventions for individuals and families looking to reduce distress of symptoms of anxiety, depression, and trauma and learn how to improve coping daily.
