About
I am a trans, queer therapist serving the LGBTQIA+ and allied communities from a liberated, decolonized framework. As a queer, neurodivergent professional, I know the importance of working with a therapist who understands the nuances of these communities' experiences. I believe in forming strong, authentic connections with clients and championing you in your various stages of life and identity. I bring 15 years of advocacy, therapy, community-action and leadership experience to my work, and I am currently licensed to practice therapy in Illinois, Tennessee, and Georgia. I practice from a harm-reduction, liberation psychology framework and incorporate elements of narrative, expressive, and integrative therapy models. I lead with a directive, down-to-earth, and approachable style, and my focus is exploring the stories you have been told about yourself and your world in order to move toward your most authentic, liberated self. I work primarily with neurodivergent and/or LGBTQIA+ people. However, I also work with clients outside of these identities seeking support through an embodied approach. My practice also offers somatic services provided by a certified somatic practitioner. Specialties: I provide letters of support for gender-affirming surgery for transgender, nonbinary, and GNC folks. I work primarily with LGBTQ, transgender, gender-nonconforming, and/or neurodivergent individuals as well as queer couples or couples in non-traditional relationship structures. Credentials & Experience: I have over 15 years of experience in the social work field, working primarily with low-resourced and LGBTQIA adults and adolescents. I am licensed in both TN and IL with certifications in organizational leadership, trauma-informed treatment, EMDR, and crisis intervention.
