About
Welcome! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor in Georgia and a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in New York with over 13 years of experience. I utilize acceptance commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral (CBT), person-centered, and mindfulness techniques. I focus on addiction, ADHD, Anxiety, Women's Issues, Trauma, and PTSD, and can help you navigate this pain and assist you in understanding it to break free from your own negative thoughts. I have been a therapist for a long time, initially, I was drawn to helping people and forming the human connection which all of us so desperately need. My goal is not to eradicate your anxiety or depression, as everyone has some level of anxiety or depression throughout their lives. I aim for you to live with it and understand it and assist you in getting out of your comfort zone so you may enjoy life. I love helping people, and I get great satisfaction when I see you making progress. If there were times when you felt better, how did the problem start, and what were the thoughts behind that problem? I will discuss how I may help and possible things to try in between sessions. I will ask if you feel comfortable with me and if you would continue individual therapy. I welcome you to reach out and get started today! Specialties: I understand abusive and narcissistic relationships and what that may do to your choices, especially later in life. I know how abuse can lead to anxiety, never feeling good enough, and always second-guessing yourself. I can help you navigate this pain and assist you in understanding it and breaking free from your own negative thoughts. Credentials & Experience: I utilize acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), person-centered, and mindfulness techniques. I assist my clients in living with these stressors by allowing them to feel their anxiety or depression and understand it.
"I utilize a person-centered approach and have unconditional positive regard for all my clients. I want to hear your story, but I may stop you at times in order to challenge specific beliefs or to understand your current thought process. I want to know you and know how we can get you to feel better."
