About
Hello! I am excited about the opportunity to join you on your journey to wellness. Life circumstances and experiences can be really hard to deal with and sometimes tough times can cause you to feel stuck or like you are on a constant roller coaster. My purpose is to help you process life experiences in order to create new goals or achieve old ones- whether it be better life balance, healthier relationships, more confidence dealing with difficult child/teen behaviors, or just loving yourself. We willI work together to find renewed energy and a vision that inspires you and allows you to live out your dreams. I provide individual, family, couples, and group counseling for adults, adolescents, & children (4+ if verbal). I am a CPCS Supervisor in Georgia for pre-licensed professionals seeking the LPC license. I am also a National Board Certified Counselor (NCC) and a Certified Anger Management Facilitator (CAMF). It takes a lot of courage to make a phone call and take the next step needed to create positive change in your life. I commend you for that and I hope you just dial the phone and set up a free consultation and we'll see where it goes. I am ready to listen. It may be the best first step to the rest of your life. Specialties: We begin therapy by assessing your primary issues of concern and setting some brief goals for therapy. I utilize cognitive behavioral strategies, within a person-centered atmosphere. We explore areas in your life that are bothersome so that you can process issues and decide what changes in emotions, thoughts, and/or behaviors are needed to reach your goals. Therapy is work - but well worth it! Credentials & Experience: I earned a Master's degree in Counseling from The University of Georgia in 1996 & Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Berry College in 1993
