About
It's not easy being a kid. Maybe something happened. Something that changed everything, broke parts of your world. Maybe nothing happened, and big feelings just bubble up inside you - or explode out of you - and you don’t know why. You might not want to talk about it, or even know how. That’s ok. There are other ways to find your way through tough times. Playing can be a language you use to show someone what the world is like for you. You might not even know you’re doing it. But when you get to play just how you need with someone who understands, it can be very special. Caring for a child is complicated! It's pretty common to feel overwhelmed or confused by your child's behavior, unsure how to respond. Behavior is communication. But what does it mean? Sometimes you might need a translator... and that's where I come in. You don't have to do this alone. Take a breath. You're probably already supporting the child in your life more than you realize. I'm here to walk alongside you on the journey, helping you tap into your own strengths and wisdom and find solutions that feel authentic and manageable for your family. If that sounds like something you might want to try, give me a call. Specialties: I work with children ages 2-12 and their caregivers. Any type of emotional dysregulation, relationship struggles, behavior... and helping figure out what's underneath all that. Credentials & Experience: I've been working with children and families for more than 15 years throughout the US and East Africa, and briefly in Peru. I became a certified Synergetic Play Therapist in 2022, and I'm often reading and learning new insights and perspectives.
